I really loved everything about this movie, the songs and characters were amazing. The part where Charlie's Mom starts singing for Charlie to keep his head up WAS SO GOOD. One thing I have to point out is that chocolate water. It was essentially just brown water lol? My favorite moment from the entire movie was when they were on the boat and like Mr. Wonka started yelling GOD IT WAS SO FUNNY 😭 The ending felt kind of abrupt but overall just a good movie. Classic. Fucking amazing. PLUS Charlie WAS ADORABLEEEE

I did not enjoy this movie... I felt like I was kinda ripping into it too hard last time so lemme contain my thoughts. Whenever Tim Burton directs a movie you can usually tell due to the setting and theme he really sets around his films. I fucking hate the dreary ass mood in this movie. The wonka movies are not meant to be taken seriously by any account, and this movie doesn't, but I don't enjoy the parody of it all. Wonka himself has a very unique personality that I don't like at all.
He's mean to clildren over petty things, is overly rude, has an awkward demanor, like idk yall... I did not like Johhny Depps portral of him AT ALLL.... The plot itself was not very good either. Like I said earlier, this movie is more of a parody not to be taken seriously so the "musical" part of it are more like song-and-dance cues by the oompa loompas. No other characters sing other than them (weird?). Also Willy has random flashbacks to his dentist father that apparently hates candy which causes a whole thing.. In the end he ends up reconciling with him with Charlie there too (???)
The factory was not something I found to be appealing in any form!!!! Like it didn't look good.. The oompa loompas were just one guy several times, the whole film felt cheap for its budget. The whole movie was 1hr 55m but felt sooooo sloooowwww....
Also about Tim Burton; Did you know he has a movie titled "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter"??

Wonka (2023)

I took the absolute biggest breath of fresh air after watching this. And I hate that I love this movie!! It is SO SO SOOOOO FUCKING GOOD. After watching it I became absolutely Wonkapilled. The SINGING, THE VISUALS, THE EVERYTHING!!! I was concerned after seeing the Trailer that Timothee Chalamet was playing Wonka but I could not be more wrong. His preformance was SPECTACULAR. He must have been posessed by the Wonka spirit because he has easily become my favorite Wonkas. The movie is about Willy before he gets his factory, its an amazing premise. If I had one word to describe this amazing movie
I would say "silly". The songs made me levitate to the HEAVENS. When "Pure Imagination" was sung I literally was gobsmacked cause damn. At the end we get to see the factory it looked so FUCKING GOOD and yes OOMPA LOOMPA REVEAL 🔥🔥🔥🔥FIVE STARS. I would give it a thousand if I could.

You really just had to be there. If you've ever seen fanart of this movie you know what I mean LMAO I've seen this movie 2 times, Once in 2022 and another in 2023. I love riddlers reimagined existance it makes him much more beliviable in the modern day. I like how he's kinda just an evil streamer SJHSJHSJHSHSJHSJ and his riddles are hilarious I feel bad for laughing at some of them.

I've actually seen this movie like 3 times over the corse of the 8 years it's been out, (YES, 2017 WAS 8 YEARS AGO) but I remembered like nothing so I recently rewatched it only recalling my HATE for Batman and my love for the Joker. After seeing it again I was kinda right in my feelings but I developed media literacy!!!!
At the start yeah I disliked his character but over the course of the movie I eventually started sympathizing with both him and the Joker. There were a lot of jokes I found funny despite 2017 being one of THE UNFUNNIEST YEARS. All in all, great movie and I'm glad that both this and the Lego Ninjago one were both made this year for me to enjoy and rewatch 9 times

The most anticipated movie of 2023 for the internet. I watched it a week-ish after release, and I didn't think it was that bad!! The plot moves kinda slowly, and Vanessa being William Aftons daughter felt off? The FNAF lore is famously very confusing and all over the place so I wouldn't overthink it but I don't really like that plot twist. Nothing in this movie is canon though so don't let it get under your skin. The creators said that because of the huge amount of lore in the game series they knew they wouldn't be able to cover it all and I understand that they just made a movie with what they had.
The kills weren't awful, atleast someone got springtrapped and the-bite-of-87'd!! I don't think they were as gory as I would've liked but they're OK to me! I know a lot of people thought it was basically nothing and to that I say THIS IS A FNAF MOVIE WHAT DID YOU EXPECT LMFAO???? Overall, not the worst movie I saw that year idk it couldve been worse

Whew. What can be said about this movie that hasn't been said already??? It's funny, sad, depressing, exciting, and nostalgic in a way. I swear you can feel the testosterone through the screen. I became a (cis) teenage boy from watching the movie alone.
After Neil killed himself I was crying NO SOBBING from the characters reactions and the after effects of it. I was in shambles breaking down when my friend suddenly texted me and i started laughing INSTANTLY
By the way, this movies ending isn't a happy one it's really sad 😢😭 But the author wanted something more accurate which I understand. I told myself I'd read the book like seeeeveral months ago and still haven't I REALLY GOTTA

I'm just gonna be honest I didn't like it that much... OKAY LISTEN THIS MOVIE WAS SOOOO FUCKING BORING. The plot was mostly incomprehensible so if even if it was life or death I couldn't really tell you what happened. The acting was unappealing Justice Smith's character was so insanely annoying I wanted to skip all of his lines. I did not care weather or not Owen died or not
Brigette Lundy-Paine carried the film with their acting tbh! I think their acting was maybe not amazing but I like theirs a whole lot more than Justice's (sorry.) The whole film just felt pretentious like it was some life changing film and everything happening in the plot was so shocking and such a twist when it was really just confusing
I went in completely blind because I saw people saying that it was a great trans allegory movie and after I thought I was on crazy pills because of how much people enjoyed it. Like I was searching for it the entire time but there was like 5 minutes of it in the final 30 maybe. After I finished it felt like such a nothing burger of a film. Like what even was that what do I take from this.
I LOVED the cinematography though. Some really gorgeous shots and the colors were amazing. The soundtrack was okay, though! The only thing saving this from a 0/5 honestly, the dialouge is just unplalatable.
Youtube comments liked it, Letterboxd is split, Reddit LOVED IT?, and IMDB hates it. If you sort by negative in Letterboxd you will find some seriously hilarious reviews though. If you enjoyed this movie do not let me ruin this for you thats literally the last thing i wanna do T_T

Wes Anderson really took a childrens book and make it emotional. I had been putting off this movie for a while, and my only real knowledge were the (sorry for what you're about to read) sigh... tiktok audios... quickly skipping over that, I really liked it! It didn't move me to tears or anything but objectively is a good movie.
It addresses a lot of layered and complicated emotions, I don't think there was a single character I didn't like. Krisstopherson is my favorite personally, but Ash's actions and motivations I looooooveeeeddddddd.
